The Role: Data Center Assistant Construction Manager As a Data Center Assistant Construction Manager, you will support the planning and execution of data center construction projects in Reno, NV. You will coordinate schedules, documentation, and contractor activities to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This is a fully onsite role with no remote or travel options. Your work supports disciplined construction execution in mission-critical environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting construction projects.
  • Experience managing RFIs and submittals.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.
  • You stay organized while managing multiple priorities.
  • You communicate clearly with contractors and internal teams.
  • You follow through on commitments and meet deadlines.
  • You are comfortable working full-time onsite in a construction environment.
  • You identify issues early and raise them appropriately.
  • You work well within structured construction processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting data center or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Experience with Bluebeam.
  • Experience with Smartsheet.
  • Relevant certifications in construction management or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Assist in defining project scope and tracking milestones.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy and constructability.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation.
  • Support daily construction activities and monitor progress against schedule.
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors to maintain site workflow.
  • Track project costs and support cost control processes.
  • Assist with quality inspections and site compliance reviews.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
  • Escalate risks and field issues to the Construction Manager as needed.
