The ADAS Simulation and Validation Tools group accelerates the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (L2-L4) software by providing robust simulation technology, cloud infrastructure, and automated testing workflows. Our solutions empower global development teams to validate complex systems at scale, ensuring efficient, high-confidence software releases. We collaborate across simulation development, data analysis, and cloud execution frameworks, solving challenges in scalability, automation, and performance validation to support cutting-edge ADAS programs. A critical part of these widely used workflows are data automation pipelines which ingest, transform, and correlate on-road and simulated driving data. This data powers analytics and simulation experiments that are essential to continuously improving our driving systems and providing feedback to business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in backend services and data pipelines.
• Extensive experience with Python in a data context, including pandas.
• Extensive experience with SQL and data schema design.
• Experience with data ingestion and ETL pipelines.
• Experience working with different data formats such as pydantic, protobufs, JSON, etc.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques in various database systems.
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Experience mentoring more junior engineers.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with microservice and serverless cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and performant data automation workflows that power AD/ADAS development.
• Optimize components for end-to-end automation, from ingestion to end-user tools.
• Engage in backend software development, data schema and API design.
• Collaborate closely with the Product team and internal customers to optimize workflows and user experience.
• Work with other engineers to design interfaces and land end-to-end value.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior developers and interns on the team.
• Experience with the full software lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, documentation, release, and maintenance.
• Implement robust testing using tools to ensure component and application reliability.
• Promote best practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure consistency and quality across the codebase.
