About The Position
Our client is seeking a Data Architect to support an enterprise-wide data migration effort from Cloudera to AWS/RedShift. This is a healthcare data specific team, that is leveraging Postgres to shift the data into RedShift. We are seeking candidate with strong AWS Aurora Postgres or similar RDMS platforms, S3, Redshift and Cloudera (open other Big data platforms) exposure. This position is a hybrid opportunity (1-2x onsite per month in Reston VA). We are seeking candidates local to the Reston VA area.
Requirements
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 8 years Experience in Data Architecture Domain leading architecture initiatives and data modeling
- Data Architecture Skills using Erwin (or similar modeling tool), with implementations in RDMS , cloud (AWS), Aurora Postgres, Redshift
- Cloudera environment experience is required (open to other Big Data Platforms if necessary)
Nice To Haves
- Health Care Domain expertise (1+ year) is strongly preferred
