About The Position

Easy Dynamics is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support a high-impact Digital Transformation and Zero Trust implementation program. This role requires technical depth and strong consulting skills to help guide our client in modernizing their security posture and aligning with Zero Trust principles. The successful candidate will need an in-depth understanding of enterprise IT concepts, cloud security, FISMA compliance, digital identity, and privacy, as this piece of work must align with NIST standards and emerging Zero Trust implementation guidelines. This role will demand a high level of technical proficiency and cybersecurity expertise. The successful candidate must also be able to lead organizational change efforts to help ensure the team’s success. In your advisory capacity, you'll navigate the complexities of the client organization, leveraging change management and effective communications to enhance security practices. Effective communication and collaboration are crucial as you will play a pivotal role in working with both technical and non-technical business leaders. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or comparable work experience.
  • 10+ years in IT, with 3+ years focused on Data Analytics.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure required, AWS & GCP a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and stand up an environment in Azure to support advanced analytics and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to architect and organize systems and applications
  • Experience developing data models to explore capacity constraints and scheduling optimization.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and compliance teams to ensure data security measures align with and complement overarching security strategy and policies.
  • Ensure controls are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, including data loss prevention policies, encryption in-transit and at-rest, data backup and recovery measures, and least-privilege access to information.
  • Conduct data risk assessments, threat modeling, and data architecture reviews.
  • Develop and maintain a Zero Trust-aligned data security architecture that complements identity, device, application, and network pillar security measures.
  • Prepare and present implementation roadmap and architecture for approval
  • Document architecture, policies, and final implementation roadmap.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy standards.
  • Use BI tools for data analysis and visibility, and to inform business decision making.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Purview for data discovery, cataloging, and lineage as well as Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake concepts
  • Improve consistency and standardization in how data is accessed and used across the organization.
  • Perform data extract, transform and load (ETL) processes
  • Ensure key data are recoverable with a appropriate degree of granularity while maintaining data integrity.
