The IS Architect role at MaineHealth is a pivotal position responsible for the consultative design of processes, applications, technology, and data architectures that guide the direction of our portfolios. This role is essential in ensuring that the architecture aligns with business strategies and industry standards. The IS Architect employs disciplined analysis and design methodologies to assess the current state of operations and to envision a future state that enhances business performance and patient care. This involves collaborating with various governance committees, MaineHealth management, and project teams to ensure that all requirements are accurately reflected in the architecture. Given the critical nature of this role, the quality of work must be exceptionally high, and the decision-making judgment must be robust, as any errors could adversely affect patient safety, revenue, or clinical decision-making. The work is characterized by its complexity, analytical depth, and strategic focus, and is performed independently with oversight from the director.
