About The Position

We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Data Analyst to help transform how our organization uses data. In this role, you will partner across departments to turn complex data into actionable insights, helping guide strategic decisions and improve operations across the business.
This is a unique opportunity to build and centralize data analytics functions, creating a hub that supports teams across marketing, scheduling, compliance, finance, and beyond.

This is a primarily in-office position that can be based out of any Venture Forthe office location, including Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Jamestown, Olean, Binghamton, Corning, or Elmira.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate business needs into data solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience with data models, database design, and data mining techniques
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas)
• Experience with reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Working knowledge of SQL and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks
• Experience using statistical packages for data analysis
• Ability to build dashboards and present insights effectively

Responsibilities

• Analyze data using statistical techniques and deliver clear, actionable reports
• Develop and implement databases and data collection systems
• Acquire and manage data from multiple sources
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights within complex datasets
• Clean, filter, and validate data to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize business and information needs
• Identify process improvement opportunities using data-driven insights
• Support the development and integration of analytics into business operations
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build dashboards, reports, and KPIs
• Assist in shaping the technical direction of data and analytics initiatives
