The Coordinator is responsible for gathering, reviewing, and approving internal billing claims; setup, verification and updating insurance account information; verifying eligibility; preparing related billing claims data reports; coordinates Medical billing claims submission via electronic data interface (EDI); functions as liaison with LA County- Dept. of Mental Health (LAC-DMH) and Medi-Cal; tracks and monitors billing claims and approval; provides monthly report analysis to Department Director assists in preparation for year-end final reports. Responsible for coordinating activities related to Electronic Health care (HER) application including user training, maintenance, application enhancement, develops new reports, and problem solving; functions as liaison with software vendor and lead trainer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related filed.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (HER) systems.
  • Working knowledge of Medi-Cal and/or third-party billing and reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of billing requirements and collection regulations for Federal, State, and local agencies and third-party submissions.
