About The Position

We are looking for a Data & Analytics Intern to help improve the reliability, visibility, and quality of our enterprise data warehouse. This role focuses on building automated system checks, monitoring workflows, and data validation processes that ensure our data is accurate and dependable. You will work directly with the data team to identify failure points, implement safeguards, and improve how we detect and resolve data issues. Reliable data is critical to how the business operates and makes decisions. This role directly contributes to improving trust in our data systems. This is not a dashboarding role. It is a systems and problem-solving role focused on making data infrastructure more robust over time. What You'll Do Data Monitoring & Automation (Core Focus) Design and implement automated data quality and system checks using Power Automate and other automation tools Build workflows to monitor data pipelines, freshness, and integrity Create alerting mechanisms to proactively identify failures or anomalies Improve visibility into system health through logging, reporting, and documentation Data Warehouse Development Support Assist in building and maintaining data models, tables, and pipelines Perform data validation and QA across key datasets Help standardize data definitions and governance practices Contribute to documentation of data architecture and processes Targeted Projects & Analysis Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and pipeline issues Support onboarding of new datasets into the warehouse Build lightweight solutions that reduce manual work or improve team efficiency What Success Looks Like By the end of the internship, you will have: Built automated checks that identify data issues before they impact reporting Reduced manual validation work through repeatable workflows Improved visibility into data pipeline health and reliability Delivered systems and documentation that the team continues to use Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field Strong working knowledge of SQL (ability to join datasets, validate logic, and troubleshoot data issues) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to independently investigate and troubleshoot ambiguous data issues Preferred Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, or similar tools Exposure to data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or cloud data platforms Basic programming experience (e.g., Python) Interest in data quality, automation, or data engineering How We Work You will be given real problems, not step-by-step instructions You will be expected to take ownership of specific problems and deliver working solutions, not just assist with tasks Much of the work involves debugging, investigating, and improving existing systems You should be comfortable working with incomplete information and ambiguity Reality of the Role This role is not focused on building dashboards or presentations. A significant portion of the work involves: Tracking down why data is incorrect or missing Building systems to prevent those issues from recurring Incrementally improving reliability across the data warehouse If you enjoy structured problem-solving and making systems more dependable over time, you'll do well here. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL (ability to join datasets, validate logic, and troubleshoot data issues)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to independently investigate and troubleshoot ambiguous data issues

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Exposure to data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or cloud data platforms
  • Basic programming experience (e.g., Python)
  • Interest in data quality, automation, or data engineering
