This position is responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting Data Analytics capabilities at the Branchburg Manufacturing facility to meet business and regulatory needs. The role involves creating and maintaining dashboards, managing data lakes and repositories, and ensuring the seamless operation of data analytics tools. The Data Analytics Engineer will play a key role in driving the site's data analytics strategy, enhancing decision-making processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting and updating existing dashboards, assisting with system updates and enhancements, and solving computerized system issues in accordance with corporate standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field required.
  • 5+ years IT or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.) and operating systems (Windows, etc.).
  • 3+ years experience working with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire or equivalent dashboarding tools.

Nice To Haves

  • MS/MBA desirable.
  • Minimum of 2+ years in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Excellent working knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (e.g. cGMP's, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent project initiatives.
  • Experience with managing external (vendor, consultant) business partners.
  • Previous experience in a regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and enhance dashboards and systems to satisfy business information demands.
  • Facilitate changes by delivering feedback from customers to IT teams and communicate any changes applied ensuring operational procedures stay current and relevant.
  • Assure adherence of applicable regulatory (i.e. cGXP, CFR, etc.) practices during execution of all work activities.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and associated readiness activities.
  • Oversee and participate in the installation, configuration, and validation of key cGXP dashboards and tools.
  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely and quality delivery of solutions.
  • Manage system customizations, scripts, and user interface enhancements.
  • Translate user requirements into dashboards and tools that drive business value.
  • Design and implement integrations between Systems and Data Lake / Data Hub / Data Repositories.
  • Provide daily support of end users, and provide end user training for all dashboards and analytics created.
  • Perform the pre-validation assessment of all cGXP systems and dashboards.
  • Enable data-driven decision making in pharmaceutical Quality Control and Manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (i.e. 21 CFR Part 11, Sarbanes Oxley, GxP, privacy data practices).
  • Identify, recommend, and implement automated solutions to address QC laboratory or manufacturing operations.
  • Train and assist business users in proper use of applications and computerized systems.
