Data & Analytics Specialist
About The Position
As the Data & Analytics Specialist, you will support the AVP of Data & Analytics in organizing, preparing, and analyzing data that helps drive strategic decisions across the Private Trust Company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their data career who is looking to build technical skills, gain exposure to financial services, and contribute to meaningful initiatives. You will assist in collecting data from multiple sources, preparing it for analysis, developing reports, and helping maintain data accuracy across our systems. Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in data management, analytics, reporting, or related work—internships and academic project experience welcome
- Foundational understanding of data analysis concepts
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional partners
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks with support
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or a related field
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Basic understanding of statistical methods such as correlations, regressions, or descriptive statistics
- Experience with data cleansing and transformation
Responsibilities
- Assist in centralizing data and analytics requests for the Private Trust Company
- Gather data from various internal and external sources
- Cleanse, validate, and prepare data for analysis
- Explore datasets and perform basic statistical analyses
- Help maintain databases and data documentation
- Create and update recurring reports and dashboards
- Support the development of data collection and analysis processes
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of data
- Clearly communicate findings to internal stakeholders in a digestible format
