Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days. In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 days per week at the Denver International Airport. The Analytics and Innovation Team is looking for a Data Analytics Senior to join their team! In this role you will perform professional level data analytics work fulfilling data requests and performing advanced data analytics and modeling for the needs of the business and fulfilling data requests.

Requirements

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or other related field.
  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of data analytics experience.
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to effectively document the results of data analysis in accordance with DEN policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerBI, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Fabric, Notebooks, SQL.
  • Knowledge of Python, and PySpark.
  • Ability in data processing, database programming, machine learning, data analytics and prompt engineering for report writing.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems and IT environments, data engineering, data warehousing, real-time analytics, and data science.
  • Experience in data mining, data cleansing, and business intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver multiple competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify analytic ideas in collaboration with team members to meet business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver analytic solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness, providing ongoing support for assigned projects.
  • Provide teams with methodological assistance using data science tools, machine learning, and prompt engineering to complete data analytics for assigned projects and optimize operations.
  • Make recommendations for the team's data needs and provide data analytic support for projects as needed.
  • Perform data retrievals and assessments, sampling on large data sets, and identify patterns and exceptions independently.
  • Design data analytics queries, tools, visualizations, and methods.
  • Determine development requirements, designs, codes, tests, and analyze results to provide support using available tools and infrastructure.
  • Manage relationships, development of business requirements, and communication with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the identification of opportunities to utilize data analyses to optimize business outcomes.
  • Develop innovative, reusable data analytics that can be leveraged by DEN.
  • Analyze the results of data analyses performed and make recommendations for review by the data analytics supervisor on potential opportunities based on those results.
  • Effectively utilize data analysis tools and methodologies, including data science, machine learning, and prompt engineering, while mentoring junior staff in their application and development.
  • Engage in and support all aspects of the Agile Development Process utilized by the Operations Analytics Team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
