About The Position

Jobs in this career family develop, maintain, and support computer systems, software and networks. Functions include enterprise operations, distributed computing, academic computing, research computing, computer hardware and software management, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development, database administration, server administration, website management, programming, desktop support, and help desk operations. Professionals at the intermediate level are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • One year of experience delivering end‑user training and documentation for non‑technical audiences, including data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance.
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

  • Experience building and deploying business intelligence and building dashboards, reports, and visualizations (Tableau or PowerBI).
  • Experience working with Microsoft development projects and platforms (Microsoft Servers, SQL Server SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and Power Automate
  • 2 years’ experience developing SQL queries utilizing slowly changing dimensions (Type II) to represent historical data.
  • Experience writing executive summaries and leveraging data to convey opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Performs weekly updates to dashboards and reports by incorporating new student assessment and evaluation data to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Designs, builds, and implements new dashboards and reports, including developing prototypes, as new data sources become available or reporting needs change.
  • Designs and implements monthly updates and enhancements to existing dashboards as requested by the Data & Analytics Manager.
  • Aggregates and analyzes multiple data sets to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Collaborates with end‑users and subject matter experts to determine reporting needs, data requirements, data sources, security considerations, and desired output formats.
  • Designs data visualizations to support multiple phases of the curriculum and other OME units; implements and maintains row‑level security in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, including management of security tables for student and faculty/staff access.
  • Maintains the Dashfolio user guide, instructional materials, and Dashfolio‑specific documentation related to data flows, update procedures, and system maintenance.
