What is in it for you: As a Summer Intern – Product Management at GS1 US, you will support our Data Engineering team. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys turning data into clear, compelling visual stories that help leaders understand trends, performance, and opportunities. You will work with real enterprise data, collaborate with experienced analysts, product owners, and technology leaders, and help design dashboards and reports that are actively used across the organization. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence in Ewing, NJ two days per week and offers a pay rate of $25 per hour. Who you are: You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Have experience with data visualization tools, with Power BI preferred. You bring strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, along with the ability to communicate insights clearly, both visually and verbally. You also have experience with SQL or querying structured data, familiarity with basic data modeling concepts, and exposure to Python or R for data analysis. An interest in business analytics, performance metrics, and reporting is highly valued. Are curious and motivated to understand the “why” behind the data. You bring a strong visual and analytical mindset and are comfortable working with evolving or imperfect data. You are a collaborative, proactive learner who enjoys solving real business problems. Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, and are comfortable asking thoughtful questions to better understand business needs. You are self-motivated, able to work independently, and eager to take ownership of your work while learning from experienced professionals. You have completed at least your third year of a collegiate program and have an interest in technology or a related field.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Build and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI.
Translate business questions into clear, intuitive visualizations that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
Clean, validate, and prepare data from multiple sources for analysis and reporting.
Assist with KPI definition, data modeling, and data storytelling for business and technology stakeholders.
Support ad hoc analysis requests that inform operational and strategic decisions.
Document data sources, assumptions, and logic to improve transparency, consistency, and reuse.
Create dashboards and reporting tools that make complex data easier to understand and act on.
Partner with business and technology teams to translate questions into meaningful data insights.
Support data preparation, validation, and reporting processes to improve decision-making.
Contribute to documentation and reporting standards that improve consistency and reusability across the organization.
Bring curiosity, analytical thinking, and a strong desire to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
