The Data Reporting and Analytics Consultant VI plays a pivotal role in driving business development and managing pharmacy Operations. This position is responsible for enterprise-wide reporting and analytics that support Kaiser Permanente's markets, shared services, and strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include leading the development and delivery of enterprise reports, dashboards, and advanced analytics to enhance Pharmacy Operations, optimize resource allocation, and manage revenue and operational costs and requires collaborating closely with cross-functional partners including National Pharmacy Operations, National Pharmacy Mail Order, IT Data & Analytics, and Finance to align analytics strategies with organizational goals. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for analyzing, internally managing, and reporting customer (including patient, member, prospective member, employer, broker, and consultant) data; designing and leading the design of human-centered research studies; conducting and providing guidance on complex qualitative and quantitative analysis using broad set of statistical tools; synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data; and communicating with patient/customer to capture survey data. This position is also responsible for designing, facilitating, and analyzing results from focus group and surveys; researching, testing, and employing research innovations for improving ability to capture the voice of the customer and customer behavior; keeping current on industry, standards, and regulatory/compliance issues within assigned areas; and providing education and consultation on these issues to customers providing clients with optimal research solutions given time and resource constraints.

  • Cleans and creates final data set(s) for analysis.
  • Leads and drives the execution of creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes across functional areas.
  • Reviews data design and analysis of more junior employees; defines and calculates complex metrics to be analyzed.
  • Defines, calculates, and validates algorithms; leads and conducts complex analyses, including inferential and/or predictive statistics.
  • Leads the design, roadmap development, implementation, and automation of business and reporting solutions.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to advise in their design, planning, and implementation while ensuring consistency and coherency.
  • Reviews data and results; designs data reports, visualizations, and/or interactive Business Intelligence (BI) reports.
  • Reports to stakeholders on key findings; identifies needs for the development and implementation of additional reporting solutions.
  • Ensures completion of documentation as appropriate.
  • Leads highly complex data analysis interpretation by providing support to team on data interpretation.

  • Drives and leads strategic data-informed decisions by consulting with senior-level clients and executive leadership.
  • Identifies and clarifies key business needs across functional areas; leads the development of outcomes and process measures.
  • Translates complex business requirements; determines data/information needs and data collection methods.
  • Leads and guides the development of complex analysis plans; evaluates the impact of business decisions on clients, customers, and/or members.
  • Builds and leverages partnerships with clients and staff to identify opportunities and methods to improve efficiencies with analysis.
  • Ensures end-users are supported and trained; reviews documentation of processes and deliverables.
  • Minimum four (4) years experience in qualitative and quantitative customer, patient, market, or related research.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years experience in data analytics or a directly related field.
  • Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Knowledge of Procurement and Contracting.
  • Experience with Customer Data and Journey Mapping.
  • Familiarity with Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods.
