Our team works onsite in Idaho Falls with a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off. Responsibilities : Develop complex data models as the back-end engine for front-end visualizations. Collaborating with a diverse data analytics reporting team to contribute to the design and implementation of analytics reporting capabilities at the Laboratory. Data reports will primarily be designed and delivered using PowerBI and other Microsoft based technologies. A broad experience in data visualization and reporting technologies is preferred. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Skills include data analysis techniques (e.g., A/B testing, association rule learning, cluster analysis, pattern recognition and predictive modeling), data analysis and visualization software (e.g., Domo, Looker, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, SiSense), object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, R, Ruby, Scala, C++) and/or data engineering skills (relational or NoSQL databases, ETL tools). Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. Ability to understand data structures. Ability to work with data science platforms and software (e.g., Jupyter Notebook, Databricks, R, Python, Matlab, SAS, etc.). Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). Job Information\: The pay range for this position is\: Level 1 ($57,444 -$112,068) / Level 2 ($66,504 - $136,356). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials. Multi-Level\: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials, manipulate tools, keyboard, and type, reach with hands and arms, and operate job equipment.
