About The Position

The internship program has an opening for a Data Analytics and Automation Intern who is ready for new and exciting challenges in a fast-paced environment. The internship will provide practical data analytics experience and will allow intern to apply data extraction, modeling, and analysis concepts and principles to develop the core competencies needed to succeed in a business environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Data Analytics or related field required.
• Graduation dates of December 2026 through May 2028 required.
• Able to work 40 hours per week during the Summer required.

Nice To Haves

• Overall GPA of 3.0 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale preferred.
• Microsoft Office applications and database application experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and human relations skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the design and development of methods for extracting, modeling, and analyzing data (e.g., data structures, scripts, and Robotic Process Automation) for continuous monitoring of key risk indicators, data driven risk assessments, real-time reporting, and/or automated controls testing for Internal Audit (IA) and respective business partners.
• Participates in proof-of-concept efforts to assess potential new IA analytics processes, functionalities, and tools to continue the evolution of IA’s data analytics and automation environment.
• Collects, interprets, and compiles data to complete comprehensive analysis through the use of various applications (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Python, Alteryx, Oracle, SQL, VB Script, PowerShell) and provides root cause analysis for issues identified during internal audits and advisory engagements where applicable.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation to support analysis and automation processes.
• Assists with the design and development of Power BI dashboards.
