About The Position

As a Data & Analytics Analyst Intern, you will support our Casualty Analytics Group's data-driven decision-making process. You will gain hands-on experience extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data to uncover valuable insights that inform business strategies and initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills while learning about the insurance industry.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline
  • Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027
  • GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and Python required; DBT a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Interest in learning about the workers' compensation insurance industry
  • Enthusiasm for Data & Analytics and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling data stories that translate complex findings into business recommendations
  • Support cross-functional teams by gathering requirements and helping translate them into data queries
  • Learn and apply principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
  • Help maintain and document data solutions and analytical tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization
  • Participate in team meetings and present findings from assigned analysis projects

Benefits

  • Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market.
  • The expected base pay for this position is $35 per hour, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
