About The Position

Join the Vallen Team as the Data and Analytics Analyst. In this role you will play an integral role in advancing the organization’s data-driven decision-making capabilities. This position involves the development and optimization of analytics tools, reporting mechanisms, and automated workflows to enhance operational efficiencies and provide actionable insights across various functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the distribution or supply chain industry.
  • Familiarity with additional analytics or visualization tools such as Tableau or Python.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data services, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Power BI Expertise: Develop and manage interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate key metrics and insights effectively.
  • Report Design: Create and troubleshoot operational and strategic reports using Microsoft Report Builder.
  • Process Automation: Leverage Power Automate to streamline workflows and enhance data integration processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Applications
  • Utilize Excel for advanced data analysis, including the creation of complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Develop professional, visually engaging presentations in PowerPoint to effectively convey data-driven insights.
  • Produce clear, comprehensive documentation and reports using Microsoft Word.
  • SQL Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, define analytical needs, and ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable data solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality, integrity, and security across organizational systems.
  • Identify and propose innovative solutions for improving processes and enhancing data utilization.
