Our team in Corporate Group is looking for a Data Analyst to join them. Moog's Corporate IT Enterprise Data Analytics and Integrations group is dedicated to establishing a standardized and centralized approach for storing, maintaining, and distributing Moog's data and information globally, with the goal of enhancing advanced analytics capabilities to drive informed decision-making and innovation. You will report to the IT Section Head of Enterprise Data Analytics and Integration. This role requires you to be on site at our corporate headquarters in East Aurora, New York, several days each week for a hybrid work structure.

  • Administer the Power BI platform, including managing gateways, workspaces, license assignments, and access provisioning.
  • Develop Power BI solutions in line with established standards and best practices.
  • Actively participate in projects to create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations by collaborating with various business functional areas such as supply chain, manufacturing, sales, quality, planning, and finance to support analytical efforts.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new Power BI feature releases to enhance and refine standards and best practices.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Provide training and support to the development community within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Contribute to the administration and development of our gold data layer within the lakehouse medallion architecture using Azure Synapse and Azure Databricks to effectively manage and optimize our data layer.
  • Be familiar with development practices related to code repository management and promotion processes, ensuring efficient management and smooth promotion of code changes across different environments.
  • Generate and maintain high-quality documentation that serves as a valuable resource for the platform and project stakeholders.
  • Typically, a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • A combination of experience and education, or equivalent professional experience, may also be considered.
  • 5+ years of programming and analysis experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong data skills required: SQL, DAX, ETL, distributed data management, data virtualization, semantic layers, data governance and data quality, data storage, security and operations, data modeling, modeling analysis and integration, data warehousing, data lakes and lakehouses, visualization, storytelling.
  • Measurable experience in Microsoft Power BI/Fabric platform.
  • Experience in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Microsoft SSRS, and Python or PySpark is highly desired.
