About the position

The Data Analyst position at Tetra Tech involves supporting the Disaster Recovery Unit by maintaining quality control of datasets related to debris operations following disasters. This role requires travel across the US to various project sites, where the analyst will analyze project data, ensure quality assurance, and generate reports. The position is designed for entry-level analysts to develop their skills and progress within the organization, with opportunities to take on larger roles as experience is gained.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of project data using software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
  • Ability to comprehend and apply a particular scope of practice and workflow process
  • Quality assurance and quality control of project data
  • Generating daily reports regarding project metrics, work completion, and cost
  • Digital file organization of project documents
  • Work through a field team to relay vital project information and accuracy
  • Completion of client data inquiries as requested by project management
  • Reading comprehension and application of federal policies to project data
  • Progression of job role as experience is acquired, including data entry and reconciliation, project reporting, and file organization.

Requirements

  • High technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day
  • Must be available for short-term travel to support on-site client needs and extended deployment (i.e. 90+ days)
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft PowerBI or similar business analysis software
  • Must be able to work with a large team of individuals
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand and apply FEMA program policies and guidance
  • Intuition and forward-thinking is a plus while working to accomplish goals
  • Must be motivated and results-oriented
  • Professional self-presentation and communication
  • Extraordinary attention to minute detail.
