Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs, and minimize risk. Requirements

BS degree required
1+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or related field
Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and integrate across groups and work streams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under deadlines
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for learning and taking initiative
Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Python for: o Connecting to APIs and ingesting data o Automating data workflows and processes
SQL for querying and managing relational databases
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Snowflake)
Understanding of ETL processes and data lineage concepts
Knowledge of data modeling using tools like Power BI
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to AI/ML tools and concepts (preferred)
(Preferred) Experience with Azure DevOps and Git-based repositories for version control

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL to ingest, transform, and load data into Azure SQL and other cloud platforms.
Integrate data from APIs and external sources, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
Automate data workflows and processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and optimize data models.
Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous availability and performance.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across systems while improving performance and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
Research emerging technologies, patterns, and tools to keep Kiewit at the forefront of data engineering and cloud innovation.
Document processes, maintain version control, and contribute to continuous improvement of ETL frameworks and data architecture.
