The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive performance improvements and strategic decision-making for both car and team operations. The Data Analyst works closely with engineers, crew chiefs, and management, applying advanced statistical techniques and motorsport-specific knowledge to maximize competitive advantage.   • Collect, process, and organize large datasets from on-car sensors, timing systems, simulation tools, and race telemetry
  • Analyze vehicle performance data to identify trends, factors influencing race outcomes, and areas for setup optimization
  • Collaborate with engineers to provide data-driven recommendations for car setup, pit strategy, and driver performance
  • Develop predictive models and simulations to forecast race scenarios, tire wear, fuel usage, and competitor behavior
  • Create clear data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical staff
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data; maintain databases and documentation for historical and ongoing analysis
  • Aid other team members as requested by leadership
  • Represent 23XI Racing in a professional manner at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager
  • 2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Informatics or other quantitative field required, advanced degree preferred
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis software/languages (Python, MATLAB, R, SQL) and experience with data visualization tools
  • Must demonstrate personal motivation and enthusiasm; ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
  • Must possess problem solving abilities for complex problem resolution, identifying, and resolving issues effectively
  • A strong and demonstrated passion for racing or other professional sports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to distribute message clearly and concisely
  • Experience with AWS cloud services strongly desired
  • Experience with vehicle dynamics, motorsports engineering, or performance simulation is preferred
