About The Position

Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Analytics team. This position is located in our New York, NY office, with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote. Job Overview: Reporting to the Senior Director, Analytics, this position will play a key role in implementing data-driven solutions to optimize business strategies, identify trends, and enhance decision-making processes across the Medical Communications group.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong reporting and QA skills with the ability to collect and organize data with attention to detail and accuracy, such as the ability to identify extreme outliers and flag for review
  • Familiarity with analytics/reporting platforms, including Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics
  • Proficiency with using SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions) and data visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI, etc).
  • Advanced Excel skills utilizing at least vlookups, sumifs, countifs, pivot tables
  • Knowledge of Python and/or R
  • Yearn to ask questions to gain a better understanding of a concept or the data
  • Ability to think creatively about challenging problems
  • BS/MS degree in related field (or equivalent training and experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets

Responsibilities

  • Collect and interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to internal stakeholders
  • Use data visualization tools to provide actionable data for the business
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Development teams to optimize current processes and assist in the development of automated dashboards to provide improved reporting
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Monitor data quality and proactively identify anomalies or discrepancies
  • Present analyses clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
