Role Overview: The Data Analyst is responsible for developing, optimizing, and delivering data-driven insights that support operational efficiency, financial clarity, and strategic decision-making across RAE Corporation. This role partners with all functional areas to establish meaningful KPIs, improve ERP utilization within IFS, enhance margin and cost reporting, and streamline reporting processes. This position plays a critical role in helping leadership make timely, informed decisions by transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, ERP reporting, or data analytics within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with IFS strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, financial modeling, complex formulas).
  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze manufacturing costs, product margins, and profitability drivers.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and management-level reporting packages.
  • Working knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting best practices.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional KPI Development & Performance Analytics
  • Partner with all functional areas to develop, standardize, and monitor meaningful KPIs aligned with operational and financial goals.
  • Design and deliver actionable dashboards and reports that enhance visibility and support data-driven decision-making across departments.
  • Translate complex operational and financial data into clear, executive-ready insights.
  • ERP Optimization & Reporting Efficiency (IFS)
  • Leverage best practices within the IFS ERP system to improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and reporting accuracy across all functional areas.
  • Evaluate reports and processes currently maintained outside of IFS and identify opportunities to streamline, automate, or integrate within the ERP system.
  • Provide training and guidance to functional users to maximize system utilization and reporting capabilities.
  • Financial Reporting & Margin Analysis
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports in multiple formats, including standard financials, product-line reporting, and department-level analysis.
  • Enhance margin and product cost reporting to improve visibility into profitability by product and support timely pricing decisions.
  • Design and implement controls to strengthen manufacturing cost reporting and financial accuracy.
  • Commission & Specialized Financial Analysis
  • Perform and validate sales commission calculations in alignment with company compensation plans.
  • Support the CFO with special projects, business analysis initiatives, and evaluation of other RAE entities.
  • Complete additional financial and reporting projects as assigned.
