About The Position

As a Data Analyst on our Cost Basis and Tax team, you are responsible for solving problems, performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some software and data quality testing. To succeed in the role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or similar role
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Data Studio)
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Advanced technical skills, including SQL, data comparison, and analysis.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new cloud technologies.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of the financial services industry—especially back-office functions like cost basis and tax reporting, and use of APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating data flow and capture, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, developing and implementing solutions.
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
• Communicating results and trends to management with recommendations for change.
• Building, maintaining, and improving reporting to measure and track performance and understand desired customer behavior and use of the data output.
• Performing software and data quality testing.
• Understanding the full end-to-end process and desired outcome.
• Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
• Creating useful data visualizations that help business leaders make decisions.
• Managing competing resources and priorities.
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring the timely completion of projects.
• Automate manual tasks with the use of AI.
