About The Position

The Data Analyst position is located in the Child Support Reporting Unit and is assigned duties for the Child Support Program. The position is responsible for all incentives and ensuring accurate distribution. This position prepares the federally mandated incentives reports and monitors incentives performance. The incentives performance measures have five categories in which the Child Support Program must meet standards. This position is responsible for all the Child Support Federal reporting. This position will manage the report for compliance with federal regulations in eight areas. This position works with the data warehouse team to design and develop data warehouse queries and reports. The data warehouse is a complex application that is used by local offices to run reports. Data that is transferred to the Client Services Data Warehouse (CSDW) from the child support case management system must be tested to ensure all programs run correctly including all mandatory federal reports as well as program activities. This position will manage these reports that are used by state and federal auditors and local offices. If there are problems with these reports, this position works to resolve issues with the CSDW team and the ACTS (Automated Collection and Tracking System) technical team. This position develops and runs queries for management as requested. Information from the queries is used to make decisions about the program and to satisfy requests for information from judges (due to lawsuits or other court actions), attorneys, federal agencies and other State agencies. Position must analyze and interpret statistical data in order to identify significant differences and/or predictive outcomes. This position will evaluate the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data in order to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage child support incentives.
  • Ensure incentive funds are accurately distributed and disbursed to county Child Support Services offices.
  • Preparation of all federally mandated reports.
  • Monitor incentive performance.
  • Analyze and interpret statistical data to identify significant trends and predictive outcomes.
  • Work with the data warehouse team to design, develop and test data warehouse queries and reports by creating, modifying and updating business requirements.
  • Work with federal, state and local auditors to ensure program security and accuracy.
  • Preparation of federal, state and internal reports regarding program performance
  • Retrieve and analyze data from various data sources, generate reports, provide analysis and recommendations to Manager, Child Support Services Section Chiefs and Director to assist with decisions concerning the program.
  • Calculation of Incentive Payments.
  • Evaluate federal, state and county program performance in relation to incentive grant award and provide recommendation to stakeholders.
  • Work with federal, state and local auditors to ensure program security and accuracy.
  • Participate in the design, development, update and testing for the Automated Collection and Tracking System (ACTS functionality in data warehouse.
  • Assist statewide child support users with queries needed to achieve case management and performance measure goals and outcomes.
  • Develop training material and train users on the use of data warehouse.
  • Assist with computer software and/or hardware and provide training as needed. (Word, Excel, Publisher, Xcelsius, etc.)
