About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Data Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support business and marketing initiatives through meaningful data insights. In this role, you will gather and validate data from both internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity before analysis. You will apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform business decisions. The position involves translating complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that drive strategy across marketing, operations, and broader business functions. You will create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, and Tableau, helping stakeholders understand performance metrics and opportunities for improvement. Collaboration across cross-functional teams is key, as you will work closely with project managers, marketing teams, and business analysts to align analytics with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel for data querying and analysis
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Ability to clean, validate, and maintain high-quality datasets
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and data integrity principles
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies
  • Comfortable translating technical findings into clear, business-friendly insights
  • Understanding of business processes and KPIs, particularly within marketing environments
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms and datasets such as Google Analytics, social media platforms, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and big data methodologies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
