A Data Analyst plays a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights to drive strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency across various functions, from understanding customer behavior to optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing product development. This position is vital for Ford's continued success and innovation, supporting business teams in addressing challenges like declining sales or increasing lead times.

  • Lead/Support functional teams to collect, clean, and process large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This includes developing and maintaining efficient and scalable data pipelines and analytical frameworks.
  • Lead exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. This assists the functional teams to uncover actionable insights by analyzing large datasets to pinpoint opportunities for improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and/or support actions to maintain dynamic reports, interactive dashboards, and visualizations to effectively convey complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently with cross functional team, Area Managers or leadership teams into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to support ad-hoc data analysis requests and special projects, while contributing to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes and tools. This also includes documenting data sources, methodologies, and analysis results thoroughly.
  • Ability to interface with Plant Hourly (Unionized workforce), Salaried Personnel, Plant Management, Staff Operations, and the Engineering Community
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with limited oversight. A collaborative mindset is highly valued.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Min of 1-3 years of experience.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to multi-task and strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Word and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Google Data Studio).
  • Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate Ford+ (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding and communication skills
  • Experience using GPIRS (Prototype System) tool set.
  • Understanding of data warehousing principles.
  • Experience with programming languages and platforms used for data analysis
