The Office of URCW encourages and supports the establishment of collaborative partnerships between faculty mentors and enterprising students. We track student research and achievements, award travel grants, sponsor a freshmen program called Research Rookies, host a spring undergraduate research conference, manage summer research programs, promote the activities of the office, and put out a monthly newsletter. As a student employee, you will gain experience in management and organization while enhancing your data management, critical thinking, and research skills. This office assistant position involves managing several dynamic databases in Excel and Airtable that track mentored collaborations with faculty, student presentations, publications, competitions and conference participation, and students applying for Summer Research and underclassmen engaged in Research Rookies. This includes importing records, removing redundant records, tying records together across databases, organizing and analyzing the data, and creating summaries and reports.
