The Data Analyst for Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit will work with and assist the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, and Clinical Trial Manager by entering data into the clinical trial sponsor system, as well as internal software. They develop an understanding of research processes, documenting business requirements of research processes. Partnering with clinical staff to help with the data requirements of research functions, additional duties include, but are not limited to: Create and document instructions for complex tasks so that others may use it as a guideline in the future. Test applications to confirm intended functionality, as well as identify gaps, assisting with the creation of user training materials. Document technical processes, as needed, verifying that recommended solutions align with research requirements. Develop an understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, effectively communicating with customers, internal resources, and support teams to ensure objectives are met. Collaborate with clinical and research resources to identify and develop process improvements. Assist with the testing and implementation of new system functionality. Participate in cross functional teams to gather clinical and research needs in order to identify effective solutions, performing other projects and duties as assigned by the Clinical Research Manager.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Gmail, Calendar, and Drive; Experience with Workday a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse community.
  • Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to create and document procedures for training materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
