Zayo is seeking a highly skilled and driven Data Analyst to join our Sales Operations team. The Data Analyst will have a strong data analytics skillset and the ability to create models to automate processes, streamline reporting, and improve operational efficiency. The role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to improve data integrity, develop automated solutions and streamline reporting. The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing actionable insights and ensuring the sales operations team is equipped with accurate, timely, and relevant data to drive business decisions.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance regular and ad-hoc sales reports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across various sales teams and systems.
  • Analyze and interpret sales data to provide actionable insights for the sales organization.
  • Create and manage dashboards and visualizations to track key sales metrics, trends, and KPIs, ensuring that stakeholders have real-time access to critical information.
  • Design and implement automated processes and models that streamline reporting, data collection, and operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Develop automated solutions to enhance data accuracy and ensure timely reporting of sales data, utilizing tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Work closely with IT to define system requirements and specifications for sales operations to improve data integrity and automation.
  • Partner with IT to oversee the development, testing, and implementation of new systems, tools, or process changes.
  • Analyze sales processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement in alignment with sales goals and company objectives.
  • Contribute to streamlining and automating sales-related tasks and processes to improve productivity, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting systems, proactively addressing any discrepancies or issues in the data.
  • Establish best practices for data management, including data entry standards, reporting accuracy, and version control.
  • Collaborate with Zayo's Commercial Reporting and Analytics Team to provide requirements for Tableau Dashboards to enable actionable insights for the Sales Organization.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Enablement, Sales Compensation, Churn Management, Finance, and other departments to ensure reporting aligns with broader business and that all stakeholders have the data needed to make informed decisions.
  • Support the Sales Operations team with strategic initiatives and analysis as required, and act as a subject matter expert on reporting and data automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Sales Operations, Data Analysis, or Business Intelligence role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Power BI or similar reporting and analytics software.
  • Experience with sales automation tools and Salesforce.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, KPIs, and metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement automated solutions for reporting and operational tasks.
  • Experience working closely with IT teams to define technical requirements and support system enhancements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry trends and operations is a plus.
