About The Position

The Data Analyst, Specialist (Marketing Analytics) position involves acquiring and compiling both structured and unstructured data, ensuring its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness. The role requires performing analyses of historical data to identify trends and insights using advanced analytical methods, as well as validating analytical techniques employed by other analysts. The analyst will develop expertise in key subject areas such as audience targeting, client journey, marketing channel usage, and marketing content. Additionally, the position includes preparing and delivering visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into actionable solutions for business partners. The analyst will also manage recurring analytic or reporting processes and engage with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals, leading projects through completion. Mentorship of junior analysts and fostering a culture of continuous learning in analytics tools and methods is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Over seven years in analytics, data science, or business intelligence.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's or PhD preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Python, PySpark, and cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake.
  • Strong skills in communication, presentation development, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies (e.g., A/B, multivariate, multi-armed bandit).

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods.
  • Validate analytical techniques employed by other analysts.
  • Develop expertise in key subject areas (e.g., audience targeting, client journey, marketing channel usage, and marketing content).
  • Prepare and deliver visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into actionable solutions.
  • Develop, own, and manage recurring analytic or reporting processes.
  • Engage with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals.
  • Translate requirements into an analytical project approach and lead projects through completion.
  • Delegate tasks and provide tactical and strategic guidance to peers.
  • Identify opportunities within the business to contribute to its growth and success.
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts to elevate technical and storytelling capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation in analytics tools and methods.
  • Partner with teams in Marketing, CXD, Engineering, and Finance to deliver integrated insights.
  • Participate in cross-divisional data projects and resolve operational challenges.
