About The Position

The Data Analyst - Slot Analytics at MGM Resorts International is responsible for identifying optimization opportunities within the slot functional areas. This role involves managing relationships with business counterparts to understand issues and propose data-driven solutions. The analyst will collaborate with teams to develop insights, create benchmarks, and enhance financial and operational performance through analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience in data analysis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SQL, Teradata, Python, PowerBI, Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Advanced Analytics Software (SAS), and Excel.
• Experience in hospitality operations or gaming.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics capabilities across aligned functional areas and properties.
• Make recommendations for improvements to slot Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with IT and Business Intelligence teams to select database management tools and prioritize data collection needs.
• Maintain database architecture through ETL processes.
• Identify business improvements and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Perform due diligence testing and reporting on databases and dashboards using industry-standard software.
• Develop and enhance analytics capabilities by performing data mining and building statistical models.
