About The Position

Join Our Team at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital! The Data Analyst Operations (DAO) is responsible for providing statistical and analytic support to a designated facility. In collaboration with leadership, the DAO will identify and document trends, correlations, anomalies and changes in data. Assisting leadership with the ability to synthesize complex data, to develop strategic and actionable reports, dashboards, and tools. This position will organize and analyze data from internal and external resources to provide information-driven answers, forecasts, and explanations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, computer science, business analytics, information technology, statistics, or related field or High School Diploma with 4 years of related experience.
  • Three (3) years of related experience in data analytics preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and continuously improves reports related to designated facility and organization.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets data trends in standard and special reports to support decisions.
  • Partners with subject matter experts for data and reporting.
  • Works closely with stakeholders in a consultative role to assess data and analytics needs; recommends appropriate strategies, methods, and analyses to improve decision making.
  • Develops custom dashboards and reports utilizing advanced technologies and data visualization tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft Power BI, Epic, etc.
  • Develops templates for standardization, workflows, and streamlining of functions.
  • Integrates data from various sources to generate reports for routine production and special requests.
  • Continuously maintains dashboards and provides insights.
  • Assists users by providing recommendations to ensure dashboards meet specifications.
  • Reviews dashboards with end-user and provides training.
  • Leads in the development of training sessions and materials to help advance the data literacy of designated facility.
  • Recommends metrics to document results including return-on-investment, clinical outcomes, performance improvement, and growth strategies.
  • Leads projects that require data analytics, visualization, and other data processing tools.
  • Maintains ongoing liaison with HRIS, IS and the Enterprise Analytics team to improve data management and analytics.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
