The Part Time Data Analyst for Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit will work with and assist the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, and Clinical Trial Manager by entering data into clinical trial sponsor system, as well as internal software. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: developing an understanding of research processes, documenting business requirements of research processes, partnering with clinical staff to help with the data requirements of research functions, creating and documenting instructions for complex tasks, testing applications to confirm intended functionality, assisting with the creation of user training materials, verifying that recommended solutions align with research requirements, developing understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, effectively communicating with customers and internal resources, collaborating with clinical and research resources to identify and develop process improvements, assisting with the testing and implementation of new system functionality, participating in cross-functional teams to gather clinical and research needs, and performing other projects and duties as assigned by the Clinical Research Manager.

  • 7 years of experience working with clinical trials and supporting a clinical trial research staff, or a similar health care setting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Gmail, Calendar, and Drive required
  • Experience with Workday a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse community
  • Capacity to use independent judgement and discretion in determining the best course of action
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work with large data sets
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to create and document procedures for training materials
