About The Position

The selected candidate will join the Integrated Data Solutions (IDS) team establishing the technical publications for the illustrated parts breakdown integration effort. The IDS IBP Integration Team is establishing a brand new Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) capability that will design, build, and operate end to end processes for capturing, authoring, delivering, and supporting engineering data. We are seeking a highly motivated IPB Integration team members who will lead the requirements definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of the IPB workflow, working closely with engineering, sustainment, and delivery stakeholders. Requirements

  • Hands-on and proficient knowledge and use of core Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with Engineering drawings/blueprints, Schematics, Configuration Management, and/or other related materials
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation both internally and externally, with customer
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment to integrate and deliver data
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher) as required by the program

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to markup language authoring (Knowledgeable in element and attribute XML tagging for S1000D-compliant interactive electronic publications)
  • Exposure to engineering data management, configuration management, IBP or Technical publications environments
  • Experience with electronic technical publications task relationships, applicability, and change management.
  • Experience with illustrated parts breakdown or similar technical data publishing (e.g., IPB, Illustrated Parts Catalog).
  • Hands on experience with scripting/automation languages (e.g. Python)
  • Exposure to AI/ML based quality checking tools for engineering data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to influence cross functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices and requirement management tools.
