About The Position

The Lead Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping, building, and maintaining robust data analytics, visualization, and reporting systems. This critical position involves designing and implementing technology that fosters seamless communication and operations among customers, suppliers, and RNDC. The primary goal is to not only meet but surpass the company's objectives, ensuring the effective support of essential business functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Tech School degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or equivalent and/or commensurate years of real-world experience in data analytics.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in data management.
  • 5+ years in data analysis with hands on delivery of business insights via BI platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud based DW such as Redshift, Snowflake etc.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting packages (MicroStrategy etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (R, Python, or JavaScript/D3 frameworks).
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, R, SPSS, SAS etc.).
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Experience with performance analysis and optimization.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
  • Experience with analytics notebooks.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the Wine and Spirits industry.
  • Data analytics certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of analysts through architecture, design, demand delivery, code reviews, release management, implementation, presentations, and meetings.
  • Mentor fellow data analysts and contribute to ongoing process improvements for the team.
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives and align architecture/designs with business requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers to prioritize business and information needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, revenue growth, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
  • Translate business requirements, reporting needs and data use cases into analytical models and feature rich visualizations that are easy to consume.
  • Conduct complex data analysis, interpret data, research business questions, identify trends, and analyze results using statistical techniques.
  • Evaluate data systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies and highlight areas for process improvement and data cleansing.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data governance to help identify data reliability and quality issues.
