The Data Analyst will be responsible for processing flight and ground operations data, developing dashboards and reports, and supporting leadership with insights that improve safety, readiness, and mission outcomes. This role will directly contribute to enhancing decision-making and operational planning across V-BAT operations.

  • Gather and maintain operational data sets from UAS flight logs, simulators, maintenance systems, and training records.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of flight operations data.
  • Analyze flight performance, readiness, utilization, and maintenance trends.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards for leadership visibility.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Support pre-mission and post-mission analysis by preparing standardized reporting packages.
  • Provide analytical input for risk assessments, safety reviews, and mission planning.
  • Assist in compliance reporting to regulatory bodies and contract stakeholders.
  • Identify data gaps and propose solutions for improved data collection and visualization.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and logistics teams to optimize processes using data insights.
  • Support predictive analytics initiatives for aircraft sustainment and mission readiness.
  • You are an undergraduate, graduate or PhD student expected to graduate in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R).
  • Familiarity with flight logs, maintenance records, or aviation operational data.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with aviation, aerospace, or UAS data analysis.
  • Experience with aviation operations (manned or unmanned).
  • Knowledge of FAA/DoD reporting requirements and aviation compliance standards.
  • Background in predictive analytics or machine learning for operational data.
  • Experience working with SQL databases or aviation data management systems.
