Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship.
  • Most interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years.
  • Graduation date cannot be prior to August 8, 2025.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher at a 4-year accredited university in quantitative analytics field such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Business Analysis, Data Science or other quantitative disciplines.
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience and accountability for simple to moderately complex tasks and/or projects required.
  • Foundational and conceptual knowledge of the function/subject area and proven application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required.
  • Foundational level of discernment in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry of responsibility (i.e. P&C, Bank, Finance).
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making.
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data & methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Applies quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make recommendations to answer the business objective and drive the appropriate change.
  • Incorporates visualization techniques to support the relevant points of the analysis and ease the understanding for less technical audiences.
  • Supports identifying and capturing the relevant and quality data sources required to fully answer and address the problem for the recommended strategy through testing or exploratory data analysis.
  • Thoroughly documents assumptions, methodology, validation and testing to facilitate peer reviews and compliance requirements.
  • Delivers analysis/findings in a manner that conveys understanding, influences up to mid level management, garners support for recommendations, drives business decisions, and influences business strategy.
