About The Position

Support ECRI’s mission of advancing effective, evidence-based healthcare worldwide by performing advanced data analysis, ensuring data quality, and developing enterprise-wide business intelligence (BI) solutions. The Data Analyst II partners with IT, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable BI insights, maintain high data integrity, and drive the adoption of modern data management systems. This role is pivotal in enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting the implementation of the enterprise BI hub and new data management tools, including Master Data Management (MDM), Reference Data Management (RDM), data cataloging, and data lineage solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with Power BI (or similar BI tools), including report development, data modeling, and workspace management.
  • Experience with data quality assessment, data cleansing, and remediation techniques.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Experience using issue tracking tools to manage the release process.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Expertly proficient with Microsoft Power BI
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient with use of Atlassian Jira or other issue tracking tools.
  • Proficient with use of Atlassian Confluence or other collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to data management systems (MDM, RDM, data cataloging, data lineage) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or a regulated industry preferred
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (preferred)
  • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) (optional)

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Perform complex data analysis using statistical, visualization, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, R) to generate insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and maintain company-wide Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they meet business requirements and support strategic objectives.
  • Manage and optimize the Power BI Enterprise Hub, including workspace organization, user permissions, and report lifecycle management.
  • Data Quality Assessment & Remediation
  • Conduct data quality assessments, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and IT to define and enforce data quality standards and metrics.
  • Document and communicate data quality findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Management Systems
  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing support of new data management systems, including MDM/RDM platforms, data cataloging, and data lineage tools.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, system configuration, user acceptance testing, and training for new data management solutions.
  • Support data integration, migration, and transformation activities as part of enterprise data initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement, Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and analytics teams to ensure alignment on data needs, priorities, and project deliverables.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on data sources, data flows, and reporting best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, business glossaries, and process workflows.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting capabilities, and data literacy across the organization.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, BI, and data management.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
