About The Position

OrthoNebraska is seeking a motivated and analytical Data Analyst to join their team. This full-time remote position involves collaborating with data professionals to drive actionable insights that enhance patient care through innovation and analytics. The ideal candidate will possess a supportive and collaborative mindset, excel in problem-solving, and be passionate about utilizing data in the healthcare sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (math, economics, engineering, statistics, healthcare business, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of experience in healthcare or quality analytics preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, SQL, and JavaScript preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare quality metrics and regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to healthcare quality metrics, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Familiarity with DA2 reporting or the Cerner Millennium data model.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and maintain quality-related data from multiple sources.
  • Develop standardized reporting processes to aggregate quality metrics.
  • Create and manage large databases ensuring accuracy and integrity of quality data.
  • Analyze clinical and operational data to assess quality outcomes and identify trends.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and scorecards tracking key quality performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements such as Joint Commission and CMS quality measures.
  • Design visualizations and presentations for actionable insights into quality metrics.
  • Partner with clinical teams and leadership to support improvement projects.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Promote data literacy and a self-service approach to data access.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects using project management skills.
  • Stay current with trends in quality analytics and healthcare regulations.
