About The Position

The Data Analyst position within Deloitte's Encore Program focuses on helping agencies achieve their mission goals through effective implementation and operation of regulatory, mission, or compliance programs. This role involves performing quantitative risk analysis, developing advanced analytical models, and transforming static reporting into dynamic visualizations. The position is designed for professionals returning to the workforce, offering mentorship and skill enhancement in a client service environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with data quality analysis, statistical analysis, and/or modeling.
• Experience across the entire model development lifecycle and interacting with model risk management teams.
• Proficiency in analytical programming languages such as SAS, Python, or R.
• Hands-on development experience of AI and machine learning models and governance of AI models.
• Strong executive presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related area.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree
• Development experience of explainable AI (XAI) algorithms and frameworks.
• Development of AI audit and ethics frameworks.
• CFA, FRM, INFORMS CAP, or similar industry certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day quantitative risk analysis including the development, maintenance, and operations of advanced analytical, econometric, and AI models.
• Interpret and translate results, trends, and takeaways to team members, clients, and executive leadership.
• Drive the production of predictive analytic reports and execute key modeling governance activities.
• Develop and lead innovative analyses, including dataset manipulation and transformation, and piloting AI and machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data collection, reporting, system designers, and cyber risk professionals.
