We have built the largest sports social media brand worldwide with more than 100 million followers across platforms and are well-positioned to take our growth to the next level. As we continue to innovate and expand our reach, we're seeking an experienced hands-on Data Analyst to join our Business Analytics team. Primarily focused on Ecommerce, web, and email performance and understanding however this individual will not be limited to just those. Why This Role? Green Field: Our focus is to use more modern tools (Fivetran/dbt) to spend less time acquiring data and more time analyzing data. Impact: Your work will directly influence the merchandise/e-commerce decision making. Growth: As a new team, you will have the agility to shape our data culture and grow your skills. Our ecosystem should continue to be built with the idea to leverage future models or tech (Ai) to analyze data at scale. Shopify is our primary source of Ecommerce information. This, along with info outside of Shopify, will be used to drive decisions around inventory forecasting, sales optimization, and product performance. Secondly, you will support our digital marketing & customer acquisition efforts by analyzing and optimizing web & email. This team is small with opportunities to establish processes and technology from the ground up that best suit the current & future needs of the business. Example time breakdown: 50% : Ecommerce 20% : Email / Web 15% : Infrastructure 10% : Audience (segment building) 5% : other projects involving Social Media & Partnerships

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–4 years of experience in data analytics, preferably with a focus on E-commerce & Retail
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills are required.
  • Shopify Expertise: Deep familiarity with Shopify data structures (Orders, Line Items, Inventory Levels, etc).
  • Visualization: Experience building dashboards in various tools.

Nice To Haves

  • The "Modern Data Stack": Experience with dbt (data build tool), BigQuery , or Fivetran is a major differentiator.
  • Marketing Tech: Familiarity with Klaviyo , Attentive , or GA4 reporting.
  • Python: Basic knowledge of Python for scripting or more advanced forecasting models is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Focus: Merchandise & Inventory Analytics (Shopify) Inventory Optimization: Build forecasting models to predict stock depletion, prevent stockouts of top sellers, and identify slow-moving SKUs to inform markdowns.
  • Sales Reporting: Design daily/weekly sales trackers that break down revenue by collection, product type, and other KPIs Ops & Logistics: Reconcile inventory data between Shopify and our physical fulfillment centers to ensure data integrity.
  • Merch Strategy: Analyze "basket mix" (what items are bought together) to recommend bundles and upsell strategies
  • Secondary Focus: Digital Marketing & Retention (Web/Email/SMS) Channel Performance: Monitor and report on the ROI/ROAS of our retention channels, specifically Klaviyo (Email), Attentive/Community (SMS).
  • Audience Segmentation: assist in building customer segments to improve marketing efforts Web Analytics: Use GA4/Shopify to understand and optimize traffic and customer flows both on the primary website and Shopify store. Identifying issues in the web journeys.
  • Data Engineering & Other responsibilities Data Modeling: Create, Maintain and improve the transformation layer related to these areas using dbt Cloud and Big Query SQL Visualization: Build and maintain self-service dashboards (Google Sheets/Tableau) Assist in communication or work in relation to 3rd party agencies.
