About The Position

The Data Analyst will play a central role in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive operational and strategic decisions. You will work with cloud-hosted data platforms to collect, validate, and analyze information related to program performance, service utilization, and compliance. This role requires close collaboration with developers, cloud engineers, and policy teams to ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and security of data. You will contribute to building dashboards, reports, and metadata documentation that support both day-to-day operations and long-term planning. The position offers exposure to large-scale cloud systems, advanced analytics, and healthcare program datasets, within a structured and impact-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with large datasets in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, especially for PHI/PII.
  • High attention to detail, with strong documentation and data quality practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare or government programs (e.g., Medicaid, CHIP, MCOs, or quality reporting).
  • Exposure to healthcare-specific datasets such as HEDIS, CAHPS, or claims data.
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines and collaboration with data engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Validate, clean, and ensure integrity of datasets ingested into cloud environments.
  • Organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of structured data, including provider, member, quality, and financial datasets.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support development of dashboards, reports, and visualization tools.
  • Translate business and reporting requirements into technical specifications for implementation.
  • Maintain metadata documentation, data dictionaries, and data governance standards.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and potential data issues, flagging them for resolution.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests, recurring submissions, and compliance-related reporting.
