The mission of the Bureau of Tuberculosis Control (BTBC) is to prevent the spread of tuberculosis (TB) and eliminate it as a public health problem in New York City. This cross-cutting role will support a range of non-clinical functions within the Office of Medical Affairs, with a focus on program support and data analysis. The ideal candidate will be technically curious and motivated to use data to improve public health outcomes, while also being flexible enough to support a variety of programmatic tasks as needed. This role is well suited for someone who has a foundational understanding of data analysis and a strong interest in learning about infectious disease control, public health regulations, and clinical workflows.

  • Demonstrated interest in public health, especially infectious disease control, healthcare delivery, or program evaluation.
  • Experience or strong aptitude in working with data especially using Excel, R, Python, or similar tools.
  • Willingness to learn and apply data analysis, visualization, and interpretation skills to real-world public health challenges.
