We are the UHC Payment Integrity Tech Team responsible for developing solutions that help prevent Fraud, Waste and Abuse by identifying them proactively in Prepayment and retrospectively in Post Payment. This is achieved by deploying Analytics based, Rule based and Situational based interventions throughout the claim’s lifecycle. The team is a mix of data scientists, Data Analysts and data engineers who come together to architect and deploy an end-to-end solution. We ensure we align to the organization’s vision of making healthcare more affordable and prevent providers from abrasive activities. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis or business analytics, ideally with exposure to healthcare or other high volume data industries
  • Experience with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive) and
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Solid grounding in data modeling, ETL processes, data quality principles, and the ability to communicate analytical outcomes clearly
  • Solid expertise in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Pyspark and hands on Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with US healthcare datasets (claims, clinical, EMR/EHR, provider, payer)
  • Experience optimizing cloud native data pipelines and working with tools like Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics concepts (predictive modeling basics, statistical experimentation) and familiarity with modern data engineering workflows – is good to have
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional product/engineering environments and influence decision making through data storytelling

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large, complex healthcare datasets to generate insights that drive strategic and operational decision making
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and analytics products using Power BI and Tableau, ensuring clarity and usability for business stakeholders
  • Develop Python based data pipelines, statistical analyses, and automation scripts; optimize PySpark and Sql queries and ETL processes across cloud/big data environments
  • Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to translate business problems into analytical frameworks and present insights to non technical audiences
