About The Position

The Data Analysis & Strategic Sourcing Manger establishes and leads an enterprise Value Analysis program focused on improving clinical outcomes, safety, standardization, and total cost performance. It functions as an impartial facilitator across Clinical, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, creating governance structures, directing committee activities, and managing a structured intake process for product evaluations and utilization concerns. The position partners with clinical and operational leaders to drive evidence‑based decisions and ensure effective adoption of product and practice changes. It oversees evidence review, total‑cost and utilization analytics, and the development of decision-ready business cases, while ensuring decisions translate into sourcing strategy, contracting, supplier performance expectations, and long-term compliance. The role also manages Value and Contract Analysts and collaborates with Finance to define baselines and validate savings post‑implementation.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Supply Chain, Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Clinical discipline, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in value analysis, healthcare sourcing/contracting, supply chain analytics, service-line operations, or similar cross-functional role.
  • Demonstrated success facilitating committees, driving decisions, and leading implementations with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong Excel/ analytics and executive-ready communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or restarting a VA program in a community/regional health system.
  • Certifications: CHVAP/CVAHP, CMRP, Lean/Six Sigma, PMP.
  • Experience with ERP/procurement systems, item master discipline, and spend analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement VA governance, committee charters, standard work, and reporting.
  • Lead recurring Value Analysis Committee(s) and service-line subcommittees: agendas, minutes, decisions, action tracking.
  • Implement an intake process for: new products, substitutions, trials, utilization concerns, backorders, and technology reviews.
  • Partner with clinicians, physicians, nursing leadership, periop/procedural leaders, and operational stakeholders.
  • Drive consensus using evidence + workflow impact + outcomes—not opinion or vendor pressure.
  • Lead change adoption for conversions: education plan, inventory strategy, go-live readiness, adoption monitoring.
  • Lead evidence-based evaluation (literature, guidelines when available, comparative analysis, outcomes risk).
  • Conduct total-cost and utilization analytics: spend, usage, waste, training burden, reliability, and operational impact.
  • Produce decision-ready recommendations: 1-page summaries, risk/benefit, alternatives, and implementation approach.
  • Ensure VA decisions translate into sourcing strategy, contracting, supplier performance expectations, and compliance.
  • Oversee the Value Analyst and Contract Analyst: project execution, analytics, contracting workflows, stakeholder comms.
  • Coordinate with GPO and vendors on evaluation processes, trials, and compliance controls.
  • Partner with Finance to define baselines, assumptions, validation method, and checkpoint cadence.
  • Establish a savings tracker: forecast vs validated realized savings, cost avoidance (tracked separately), adoption rates.
  • Provide monthly reporting to executive leadership: wins, pipeline, barriers, and decisions needed.
  • Maintain audit-ready files: evaluations, trial documentation, conflict-of-interest disclosures, and vendor interactions.
  • Ensure alignment with Infection Prevention, Clinical Engineering/Biomed, IT/Integration, and Safety standards as applicable.
