About The Position

Under general supervision, manages and maintains a comprehensive information resource, ensuring consistency and integrity of data; oversees collection and reporting of complex, related information. Interprets data, including statistical values, and provides advice and consultation regarding implications; may make recommendations for adjustments. Conducts needs assessments, designs and creates data systems, and participates in testing and implementation of new applications and/or enhancements and modifications to existing systems of a multifaceted nature. Provides assistance and training to system users.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Responsibilities

  • Develops data collection instruments and methods for the evaluation and quality control of research, patient, or operational data.
  • Utilizes specified statistical software to analyze and interpret data, as appropriate to the individual position.
  • Consults with and advises on the use and interpretation of data; collaborates as appropriate in the structuring and development of data requirements.
  • Performs needs assessment activities and works with other information systems personnel to design and/or develops specific databases for collection, tracking, and reporting of data, as appropriate to the position.
  • Utilizes business process analysis to identify the current state of processes, eliciting their useful and harmful attributes, documenting models of the processes, and facilitating stakeholder groups to a consensus regarding new business process designs.
  • Provides general problem solving, technical assistance, software maintenance, and training to personnel in the use of personal computers, software packages, and on-line information systems.
  • Documents projects; writes and maintains user instructions and training materials. May provide individual and/or group instruction and training to providers and staff related to such materials.
  • Provides system application leadership for research and development initiatives, implementation of new technologies, or current technology upgrades.
  • May participate in or initiate proposal writing and funding searches; may develop and/or present training programs in the field of expertise.
