Come join us As an Intelligent Data Platform (IDP) Databricks Champion at Senior Manager or Manager level within our Integrated Center of Excellence Data & AI Practice, you'll leverage a client-centric approach to understand our client’s challenges and opportunities to deliver solutions and services that make transformative change and deliver high value business outcomes. You'll engage in solutioning and support on the most strategic opportunities, intervene in high-risk complex deliveries, and contribute to shape the strategic direction using data platforms, reporting, self-service analytics, real time intelligence and AI engineering. The successful candidate must be capable of partnering across global Regions to lead presales engagements, architect solutions and deliver enterprise data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure and Databricks. This role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and strategic partnership development—especially with Databricks—to drive business outcomes and innovation in our Data and AI client engagements. Using the power of modern data platforms, visualizations, advanced analytics, machine learning, IOT/Digital Twins and applied intelligence, we help clients gain business insights to optimize their operations, drive innovation, and make more empowered decisions. Together we do what matters What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities Across Senior Manager and Manager roles) In this role, you will: Work closely with delivery teams and client stakeholders to provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, value based outcomes for senior business stakeholders, technology leaders, and internal sales teams. Engage early with clients and/or sales teams to support origination, deal qualification, requirements capture, and solutioning—recommending best practices and building trusted advisor relationships. Collaborate with the wider Data & AI leadership to contribute thought leadership, points of view, and enhancements to our offerings, accelerators, and IP. Stay current on advancements in Data & AI and incorporate relevant innovations into our solutions. Support integration of Data & AI capabilities across other Global Solution Areas (Modern Workplace, Apps & Infrastructure, Business Applications). Contribute to internal Assets & Engineering initiatives to strengthen Avanade’s differentiated market position. Provide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues and contribute to the broader Avanade technical community. Senior Manager Responsibilities (In Addition to Core Responsibilities) Senior Managers are expected to operate with broader scope, deeper influence, and higher accountability. At this level, you will: Lead presales, solution planning, and solution design efforts for Data Platform Modernization pursuits. Drive partner relationships at the offering level, including Databricks and Accenture. Shape high level solution designs, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals in collaboration with other SMEs. Address client delivery issues when required, ensuring quality and consistency of offerings in the region. Play a senior leadership role in shaping go to market strategies, offerings, and accelerators. Drive adoption of Delta Lake, Lakehouse, and MLflow for advanced analytics and machine learning use cases. Establish best practices for data governance, lineage, and metadata management within Databricks. Translate business needs into robust data products supporting real time decision making and predictive modeling. Lead performance tuning, cost optimization, and security hardening of Databricks on Azure. Manager Responsibilities (In Addition to Core Responsibilities) Managers contribute significantly to delivery and solutioning while operating with a more focused scope. At this level, you will: Support high level design, estimates, and proposal development in collaboration with senior SMEs. Contribute to solution planning and architectural decisions while working under the guidance of senior leaders. Provide coaching and mentoring within your immediate team and contribute to the technical community. Support early-stage client conversations, requirements capture, and solutioning activities. Participate in shaping thought leadership and contributing to offering development, accelerators, and GTM assets. . Skills & Experiences (Applicable to Senior Manager and Manager roles) Management Consulting and/or Systems Integration experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams. Experience architecting and delivering end to end data solutions using Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, ML/AI workloads). Hands on experience with data pipeline design, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and real time analytics. Familiarity with governance tools (Unity Catalog), open data formats (Delta Lake, Parquet), and data mesh principles. Strong stakeholder management and customer facing skills. Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with technology vendors (Databricks, Microsoft). Ability to develop reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and accelerators. Comfortable leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff. You likely hold an advanced degree in a quantitative field (computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning) or equivalent experience. You have a track record of success in consultative/complex technical sales, architecture, design, implementation, or support of distributed applications. You have experience working with large enterprise accounts and architecting cloud-based data solutions. You can orchestrate, lead, and influence remote teams to ensure successful project delivery. Location: This role is flexible within the U.S., with preference for candidates located within commuting distance of an Avanade office to support collaboration and client engagement. Travel: Occasional travel required for client engagements, team collaboration, or business meetings. Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Requirements

  • Management Consulting and/or Systems Integration experience strongly preferred.
