Position Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and talented summer intern to join our team and contribute to our cutting-edge data and AI/ML initiatives. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, working on real-world problems related to advanced manufacturing. You will contribute to projects aimed at improving machine performance and process optimization through data engineering, data analysis, scripting, and tool development.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Functional familiarity with Python scripting.
- Familiarity with data analysis and machine learning concepts.
- Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL is a plus.
- An interest in hardware and manufacturing technologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Data Organization & Engineering: Organize and structure large datasets of machine and process data.
- Develop and implement data cleaning and preprocessing pipelines.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data storage solutions.
- Scripting & Tool Development for Data Pipelines: Write Python scripts to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Contribute to the development of robust and scalable data pipelines.
- Tool Development for Human Dataset Labeling: Design and implement tools for collecting, storing, and validating human-labeled datasets.
- Develop user interfaces for efficient data labeling.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Data Analysis and AI/ML: Develop tools for data visualization and reporting.
- Assist systems and process engineers with complex data analysis.
- Participate in AI/ML projects aimed at improving machine performance and process optimization.
- Apply machine learning algorithms to analyze sensor data and identify patterns.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of predictive models.
- Assist in the implementation of model deployment strategies.
